A backpack consists of multiple cut pieces. Each additional piece may add at least 3 to 5 extra processes. This is because an extra piece means: one more cutting operation - one more sewing operation. If the piece also requires hemming or folding, additional processes for folding or overlocking are added, plus one more inspection or alignment process.
If hemming or overlocking is involved, the number of processes will increase accordingly.
Increased production steps mean increased labor requirements, and increased labor necessitates higher costs.
